DP Partners is a well-known private developer specializing in the development of business parks and build-to-suits for industrial clients throughout the United States. DP Partners contracted with Evans for the construction of a new, two building industrial park located in Savannah, Georgia. Initially over budget, Evans assumed responsibility for various design disciplines to establish a market competitive budget for DP Partners.
Construction of the 72 acre industrial park was completed in 14 months and contains two cross-dock warehouse/distribution centers; building “A” is 689,400 SF and building “B” is 347,280 SF. Both buildings are constructed of conventional steel and concrete tilt-up wall panels. They feature ESFR Class IV fire suppression systems and mechanically fastened TPO roofing. Building “A” contains modified wall panels to allow for future expansion. Evans completed a build-out for Dole Foods, which now occupies approximately 65% of the two buildings. The build-out included temperature controlled, food-grade storage areas. These areas required the installation of urethane wall panels and Freon refrigeration to maintain the 45° cooler space. Scope of work included design/ build services, complete shell building construction, three tenant build-outs and a comprehensive site work package including grading and utilities and roadway construction.
