The Aurobindo product portfolio encompasses a wide-range of products, dosage forms and delivery methods. Aurobindo is expanding their capabilities and capacity for commercial cGMP manufacturing in North Carolina.

Aurobindo has chosen Evans General Contractors to provide design-build and commissioning services for a partial renovation/expansion of an existing 140,000 square foot facility located in Research Triangle Park, Durham, NC. The project consist of 19,000 square feet of cGMP manufacturing in Grade C, D, E and CNC areas. The scope of work included coordination of the design with owner supplied process manufacturing equipment for - dermatological products including filling, labelling, and packaging, - inhaled products with filling operations, and - transdermal delivery systems with conversion & packaging. Along with design coordination, project scope includes installation and support of process equipment startup. Project includes supply, installation and startup of process utility equipment including clean-dry compressed air, waste neutralization, and purified water generation (RO/DI), storage & distribution. The project includes supply, installation, startup and functional testing of building equipment including air rotation units, chilled water, air handling units. Building environmental controls scope included the expansion of an existing distributed digital control building automation system (BAS) to control temperature and humidity throughout the building. BAS monitors O2/LEL sensors and differential pressure throughout the production areas. The project includes 3,500 square feet production labs, 8,000 square feet of packaging/raw material storage, as well as, 32,000 square feet of warehouse/distribution area. Construction scope also included selective demolition and abatement.
